Kara Mann has a lifelong passion for fashion, home design and entrepreneurial endeavors, and brings a strong background in sales, project leadership and community ties to The Mabadi Group. Throughout her career, Kara has been motivated by creating connections with people and serving in leadership positions across a variety of industries. She began her professional life in advertising sales, then p
arlayed that experience to retail and sales management positions at companies such as Ann Taylor, J Crew and The Gap, which turned to Kara to help manage its second largest store in Chicago. Always seeking new challenges and avenues for creative expression, Kara made the bold move into commercial film production, quickly moving up the ranks from production assistant, to production manager and ultimately producer. Over her 15 years in the business, Kara worked on television shows such as “ER”, managed the production of dozens of national commercial and PSA’s, coordinated production trailers for “Oprah Winfrey Presents,” and produced numerous celebrity photo shoots for Sony Music Entertainment. Kara and her family have lived in Evanston since 2008, where she’s continued to fuel her love for fashion and design while raising her two young daughters with her husband Tom. Over the years she has sold Etcetera Women’s Wear, Ash + Ames jewelry, as well as becoming a top Consultant for Rodan + Fields premium skin care for the past 6 years. Deeply devoted to the North Shore community, Kara has leveraged her skills in management and production to chair notable annual fundraisers repeatedly, such as Cherry Preschool’s “Cherry Jubilee,” Orrington Elementary School’s “Evening for the Arts,” and helped co-produce Haven Middle School’s “Haven Help Us” production. Currently, she’s serving as co-chair for Evanston Township High School’s largest annual fundraiser, “Boosterpalooza.”
Kara’s professional journey and constant drive has provided her with a rich reservoir of skills and experience from which she is now drawing as a realtor with the acclaimed Mabadi Group.
