LNG VAPORIZATION SKID

GVM500 – Gas Vaporization Module vaporizes inlet LNG, heats, and controls the flow of outlet gas into regional distribution pipeline. Heating is provided separately by a natural gas fired thermal fluid heater. 2 Modules currently operating in Peak Shaving application in Lawrence, MA. 500,000 SCFH, 100psig pipeline pressure.

The pressure reduction module conditions compressed natural gas transported by high pressure mobile pipeline to the correct temperature and pressure for use in a distribution network or directly by a gas consumer. Prior to reducing the pressure for pipeline use, heater(s) preheat the gas to the temperature required to counteract pressure drop (J-T) cooling.

Outlet temperature is maintained relatively constant, and power consumption minimized by using heater turndown. A control system maintains process conditions at the required setpoints; namely, outlet pressure and temperature, which are both user selectable within a prescribed range. Measured process conditions are available for viewing locally on the module.

The system consists of a modular, enclosed process skid with simplified customer connections to tube trailer inlet, gas outlet piping, and power supply.
