“I always knew I wanted to serve a mission but wasn’t quite sure at the same time. It was always a “we will see thing” as I ended my junior year of high school knowing I was older in my grade and could serve a mission right out of high school I really started to think about what to do. I also want to be a nurse and got my CNA in high school and was also wanting to continue school in that. When I received my patriarchal blessing it said that I was meant to serve a mission!!!!!!! So I decided that I would read the Book of Mormon before turning my papers in and sure enough as I finished I knew again that this was the right thing to do!! I’m excited to serve and know that God sent me to the perfect place for me!! God is so good!!! 🤍🤍🌺”

“Hi! My name is Rachel and I have been called to serve as a missionary for the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I chose to serve a mission because I want people to know of the never ending love that their Father in heaven has for them! I want all of Gods children to be able to come home to him and I want them to know that they are loved, cared for and watched over! I want the world to know how incredible our Savior Jesus Christ is and how selfless he was when he went and atoned for our sins so that we would be able to live with our Eternal Families again! Our Heavenly Father loves us so so much and knows our wants and needs. He knows exactly what we are going through and his son Jesus Christ has been through exactly what we have been through! Whenever we feel lonely or are going through a struggle we can turn to Christ and ask him for help because he knows exactly how we feel! Isn’t that wonderful!?!
I love my Heavenly Father and am so grateful for Jesus Christ and can not wait to share this message with the people of Everett Washington!!”

When my husband talks about coming back to church, he often associates himself with the parable of the lost sheep. I think most of us can really. That’s the blessing of Heavenly Father’s plan though! The Plan of Happiness allows us to find our way back to the covenant path and continue to progress toward eternal life. I love that He’s provided step by step instructions for all of us to find out way back home. ❤️

About a year after I joined the church, my husband and I were asked to be ma and pa for trek. While we were preparing for it, we read many stories of people who made the original trek in 1847 to escape religious persecution and go to the Utah valley where they were told they could build again and be free from persecution. I had no idea what we were in for when we started. It was extremely hot out and one of our kids wouldn’t drink water. Needless to say he ended up in the sick truck. One child had asthma but she insisted the person she chose to walk for was guiding her. She was able to do things she shouldn’t have been able to do. Miracles happened. Our trek was clearly nothing like the original trek. We didn’t walk 1300 miles pulling a wagon with all of our belongings, while starving to death and caring for sick spouses and children. We didn’t suffer through extreme cold. We didn’t bury our loved ones whose bodies failed them before they reached Zion. Nonetheless, it was an incredible spiritual experience that I’m happy we got to experience. I have great respect for those that did the original trek. Their faith must have been something incredible to be willing to do such a thing. I hope my faith would have been like there’s if I had lived during their time! 🤍
