Part Time Summer Nanny: Woodinville

A warm and active family in beautiful Woodinville is seeking a caring, nurturing, and confident summer nanny to care for their two boys, ages 7 and 3. The ideal candidate will be engaging, energetic, and enthusiastic about outdoor activities, fostering a fun and adventurous summer experience. The family lives right on the Tolt line so the role is perfect for someone who enjoys walking, biking, outdoor exploration. The family also has space at their home for yard exploration and outdoor play. The nanny should be able to create and maintain a structured and safe environment while providing stimulating, developmentally appropriate activities. This family values a nanny who can bring joy, connection, and consistency to their kiddos’ summer routine while allowing for exploration and fun.

SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday: 9am - 1pm. Summer position runs from June 2nd through August 29th.

COMPENSATION: Competitive Pay & Guaranteed Hours

REQUIREMENTS:

Ages 21+
2 years of nanny/childcare experience required
Reliable and punctual
Non-smoker/vaper
Strong communication skills
Willing to complete our background check process
Submit 2–3 professional childcare references

Parents, I know that when it comes to your kids you have the final say. However it’s really important for your kids to have consistent direction from parents and the nanny. It’s also really important for your kids to know that you see the nanny as an trustworthy authority. Undermining your nanny will only communicate that your child doesn’t have to listen to your nanny. If you prefer your nanny to to handle a situation differently, it’s best to let their decision stand and then follow up with a conversation afterward. Let your nanny know that in the future, you’d prefer they do things a different way so that everyone is on the same page and the kids get consistent direction.

If your child rides with your nanny behind the wheel it’s your responsibility to make sure car seats are being used properly. Assuming your nanny knows how can be a big mistake. If you need to brush up on car seat safety yourself, follow for life saving information!

Trial shifts are an important step in the nanny hiring process. You’ll want to get an opportunity to see if your nanny candidate’s knowledge translates to skill. Your candidate will also want to see if the demands of the job match with what they are looking for. We recommend you always hire for a trial prior to extending an official offer.
