Thank you to those who have donated to us this past week. We’ve recieved over 50 cases of bottled water plus cases of Gatorade. We greatly appreciate the support to keep our members hydrated!
We’ve responded to over 30 calls, since Saturday the 6th, including 1 commercial fire which was an overheated bathroom exhaust fan, an injured person as a result of tree cutting requiring an air medical fly out, 2 automatic fire alarms, 1 carbon monoxide alarm, 1 tree down on an occupied vehicle and several trees and wires down. Thank you to the public who assisted us with clearing trees from the roads.
We clear trees from roadways when possible so that incase of emergency the road is passable. We cannot clear trees that have any type of wires in them nor will we clear a tree from a building unless it is a life safety hazard with occupants still inside.
With the potential for a severe storm later today, be aware of tree limbs that may be broken and still hanging that have the potential of falling. Always be aware of your surroundings.
Also Broadford Road between South Everson and Owensdale still has a lane restriction due to a tree into wires. The utility companies have again been notified.
