We protect approximately 3,000 residents in approximately 8 square miles (both municipalities combined) and we provide mutual aid to other municipalities in both Fayette and Westmoreland Counties. Our fleet consists of 6 vehicles (Engine, Rescue, Ladder, Squad, Brush and UTV) and we operate out of 1 station located in the Borough of Everson.

Everson VFC has been working hard doing some ground maintenance things around the station. The firefighters today put a new roof on the 14 blessing box that was placed in memory EH Twp firefighter, Harry Seaton Sr. The community appreciates the box and thank you to Rich Kujawa for donating the supplies to make this happen today.

Activated this morning for a single vehicle accident into the Veterans Monument on Brown Street in the Borough. One occupant was evaluated on scene by EMS. West Penn Power responded to depower an underground meter socket that was underneath the vehicle. Also assisting was Scottdale VFD, Mutual Aid EMS and PA State Police.

We’ve been invited to join in Scottdale’s National Night Out this Sunday August 23rd. The event is from 2 PM until 6 PM in the area of the Gazebo Park.

Scottdale Borough has alot of fun things planned! We’ll be setup with a hose line for kids to spray some water! We’ll also have our prop to get pictures and plastic Fire Chief helmets for the kids.

Bring the family out and enjoy the afternoon in Scottdale!
