Introducing our Intern: Whitley Robey
We’re excited to welcome Whitley Robey to the ABS Global Intern Cohort! Whitley joined us as a Dairy Genetics Program Intern under the direction of Ellie Fleming in our De Forest office on May 26th.
Whitley is currently a junior at Virginia Tech, majoring in Dairy Science with a focus on Business Management and minoring in Spanish and Animal & Poultry Science. She is on track to graduate in May 2027.
Whitley brings extensive cattle handling experience, having grown up on her family’s dairy farm in Kentucky, where they milk 2,200 registered Holsteins. She has served as a Teaching Assistant for Dairy Cattle Handling at Virginia Tech and worked as a Herd Management Intern at STgenetics’ Ohio Heifer Center, gaining hands-on experience in reproduction, embryo transfer, and herd health. Her background also includes involvement in o**m pick-up research and leadership roles in dairy-related organizations.
Whitley is passionate about genetics and reproduction and looks forward to gaining hands-on experience with elite Holstein genetics and reproductive technologies like IVF. Her goal is to learn from industry experts and apply these insights to improve herd genetics and efficiency on her family’s farm.
Please join us in welcoming Whitley to the team!
