Please be advised that Friday, September 4th, two additional meals will be provided to cover the meal requirements for September 7th and 8th, also the regularly scheduled Monday ONLY meals will be delivered on that Friday, as the kitchen will be closed in observance of the Labor Day holiday.

Heartland Resources received a $20,000 grant Friday, August 14th that will help the nonprofit continue providing meals and in-home care services to seniors and disabled residents across northeast Missouri.

The funding was awarded through the Member Impact Fund, a matching grant program that partners the Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines with local financial institutions.

The donation was sponsored equally by United State Bank and the Bank of Monticello, with matching funds provided by the Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines.

Heartland Resources serves residents in Lewis, Scotland and Schuyler counties, delivering hot meals and providing in-home care services that help seniors remain in their homes and maintain their independence.

Put a Golf Team Together for the United Way Golf Tournament this Saturday!

I am inviting you to join the United Way Golf Tournament this Saturday, August 22!

The weather is going to be absolutely perfect for golfing, so grab three friends, coworkers, or clients and come enjoy a great Saturday morning on the course—all while supporting our local community!

Here are the details:

Norwoods Golf Course, Hannibal
Registration at 8:00 a.m. | Shotgun Start at 9:00 a.m.
Continental breakfast, lunch, beverages, and extras are included!

Teams are $500 for four players, and all proceeds benefit United Way’s LIVE HERE, GIVE HERE Campaign.

Heartland Resources is pleased to announce the appointment of Angie Sullivan as the new Executive Director.

Mrs. Sullivan, a Kirksville resident, is married with three children. She brings four years of experience in non-profit organizations and has served on various boards, currently holding positions on three. Her involvement extends to numerous community projects. She is enthusiastic about collaborating with us and contributing to the growth of our agency.

A very special “Thank you!” goes out to all the many supporters that responded to our year end appeal. The response was overwhelming! Not only did it supply much needed funding, but it also gave assurance that many people value our efforts to help the senior citizens of Lewis County age in place gracefully. Your financial support, along with our many volunteers, makes it possible to help not only senior citizens, but also the families that assist them. Our clients, staff, volunteers, and board members all thank you for your support!
