We are open today for Labor Day.

The plan is simple: cold wine, shaded spots, and a chill Monday!

We need harvest helpers next weekend.

If you have ever wanted to see what harvest actually looks like, this is the time. No experience needed. We will have tools. Bring gloves if you like. Expect an early vineyard morning, grape picking, sticky hands, and a much better understanding of what goes into a bottle of wine. Lunch, snack and refreshments included!!

FirePit Friday is taking a heat break tonight. Labor Day weekend is here, and with this heat hanging around, we’re leaning into the cooler side of Fence Stile: chilled Missouri wine, sangria, wine slushies, cocktails, beer, NYX spirits by Fence Stile, zero-proof options, nibbles, tasting room comfort, and wine cave experiences.

We’re open 3–8 PM today.

If you’re making holiday weekend plans, this is a great time to book a wine cave tour and candlelit tasting. The tours are especially interesting right now as harvest season begins to take shape. You’ll hear about the vineyard, grape maturity, Brix, flavor, acidity, and the decisions that turn this year’s fruit into future wine.

Holiday weekend cave tours are available:

Our first harvest of the season is Sunday, August 30!

Harvest is one of the most meaningful mornings of the year at Fence Stile. It is when the work of the season becomes real: grape clusters coming in from the rows, samples being tasted, bins filling, and the next vintage beginning its journey from vineyard to cellar.

As we prepare for harvest, this weekend’s schedule will look a little different: we’ll have only one wine cave tour and free live music on Saturday. It is a beautiful time to understand the vineyard in real time — grape maturity, sampling, ripening, and the decisions that shape harvest.

This is the season when the vineyard asks everyone to pay attention.

It’s a mostly sunny late-August Saturday in Excelsior Springs — perfect for estate wine, wine cocktails, nibbles, vineyard views, live music, and a little cool wine cave time.

And tomorrow is the final Acoustic in the Caves performance of the summer with Barry Jones from 2–4 PM. It’s limited seating inside the wine cave, and this is the last public Sunday cave concert currently scheduled for the 2026 summer series.
