This came from a professional forum but this is why you need to invest in professionals who install professional equipment and not big box internal Chinese junk. Now this customer will be paying to rewire their whole house. But hey they saved a few bucks a year or so ago.

We are offering holiday discounts on residential work through the first week of January. We will be looking at 25% off ANY residential system. Invest in your property, invest in your safety. Also talk to your insurance agent about what discounts they offer for monitored security or cameras.

So I've been getting a large number of requests for residential work due to the lack of skilled security designers in our area. There will be some options coming available for residential alarm, water leak detection, smoke and fire detection, CCTV etc. With over 30 years experience we have the skills to help.

I want to reassure our followers that even in a time where we are facing supply chain issues we will continue our commitment as we have since day 1 to never sell any equipment made in China unless we have absolutely no other choice which is rare. Some of our vendors still have certain parts like housings made in China but we will continue to do our best to source quality products from friendly countries if not from within the US itself. Thank you for your continued support.

Getting more and more requests for high quality residential systems. There are systems worth investing in with 5 year warranties and usable in court. Finishing up a 150 camera project soon and start three more in a couple months. So we'll have a decent gap in the schedule for some smaller projects if anyone is interested. As a company who puts it's responsibility to it's clients first we are actively investigating the surge of products that scan your temperature upon entry via a CCTV camera. Many of these cameras and systems are NOT FDA approved and are not capable of discerning your temperature at the required level of tolerance. This may result in a false positive or false negative. We are thoroughly investigating products from around the world to seek out the most accurate, best solution to identifying people with an elevated temperature as well as whether they are wearing a mask or not. As always we WILL NOT source it consider any equipment made in China. As soon as we get more information we will pass it in to you. Thank you for your ongoing support.

As a precaution BSI had closed operations in March due to the COVID19 pandemic. Operations have now been reopened under very tight controls. These efforts are in place to protect our customers as well as our staff and subcontractors. We are classified as an essential business offering security, life safety and communication services. For that reason we can not keep our clients at bay any longer. We have to keep them and their assets secure. We have always been a buy American company but have implemented even stronger efforts to not buy Chinese based products in our product offerings. Actually we are trying to totally eliminate Chinese products all together. This will impact our competitiveness as a lot of our competition is not taking this stance but we will adjust. We would rather lose a project than sacrifice our principles. We are also making massive efforts to purchase anything we need from local small businesses as much as we can. We are offering discounts to healthcare workers and first responders and are doing everything we can to jump start our local economy. Obviously being closed for two months has drastically impacted our financial situation but we can and will recover. Fortunately we are facing a backlog of work but are still willing and able to assist anyone who has security concerns. We typically focus in the commercial market but are making an exception for anyone who requires residential assistance. There is a need in our area in this market and we are here for you.

Our goal is to make every possible effort to buy American and also from our local economy. We are shifting our purchasing practices to try to source as much as we can in the form of supplies, tools, inventory etc. from local vendors whenever possible. This velocity of money will bring our economy back quickly. We are encouraging all of you to do the same. We can build eachmither up and get through this. We are looking forward to working with our friends and neighbors and bringing all of us back even stronger than before.
