TRI has had a busy spring. Our workload was a reminder that there are many aging GE Large Steam Turbine-Generators that use hydrogen seals and tilt pad bearings that were originally designed over 50 years ago. Dr. Mel's latest Tech Note discusses improvement that improve the performance and reliability of the hydrogen seals and bearings.
