We sell and install satellite internet all over Alaska including very remote locations. We cover all of the state with a couple of exceptions. The Southeast region of Alaska is handled by a different distributor; and out past Cold Bay on the Aleutian Islands cannot be serviced due to problems acquiring the signal.

ASI has flat rate Bush shipping of $80 for the .74m systems and $130 for the .98m systems. HughesNet uses a small satellite antenna that can be mounted to a structue wall or roof as well as a cemented pole in the ground. The HughesNet system is not able to receive satellite TV, such as Dish TV or DirecTV HughesNet requires a 24 month commitment. Alaska Satellite Internet is unable to provide a free installation in Alaska. A certified installer is required by HughesNet, otherwise, the equipment cannot be sold. Training is available to certify installers. There is a HughesNet warranty on the equipment for the full 2-year commitment term. HughesNet has usage limitations, commonly known as the Fair Access Policy (FAP). If you go over your daily download limit you will have your speeds throttled to a dial-up speed for the next 24 hours. There is 5-hour period between 10PM and 3AM Alaska Time where usage doesn’t count against the FAP threshold. Movies, computer updates and large files should be downloaded during this time.
