44 coyotes down while solo hunting in KENTUCKY!!!

03/31/2026

Called this pair in after hitting Sexy Lil B howl followed up with Boone lone whine howls. They came into the field and hung up probably could see me it was bright and I was in the open. I switched to broke pups & drug them in as close as they was going to come.

As Zachary Dillon likes to say, I folded that first male like a napkin then on I’m assuming the female I held right because I had a strong cross wind & I thought she probably had run about 100 yards so putting her at about 300 yards away I figured my bullet would’ve drifted over and been right on the money but unfortunately that wasn’t the case and she slipped away. Not upset I done exactly what I was thinking in my head it just didn’t connect I would’ve taken the same shot if I went back and done it again. If you ain’t missing some you ain’t hunting enough in my book lol

Wish I could put into words the experience of being out hunting on a night with close to full moon illumination, allowing you to see the land at night with your natural eyes. I took this photo around 1 am this morning using night mode on my phone. It doesn't compare to how it looked for me in person in the moment, but I thought it was close enough to make it worth sharing.

There is a lot to night hunting that is so rewarding besides the actual hunt and the only way you will ever know what I’m talking about is if you go out and try it for yourself. Hope you do!

Here is a special hunt! My 30th yote for 2026 & I shot him freehanded in a field around 100 yards no tripod or shooting stick! Took my brother on his 2nd ever coyote hunt last night. We made 2 stops and 3 stands. The last one came together.. I called in a triple. I was waiting for him to shoot first but when they started to run away I decided they was getting away that easy. I smoked the one I was on & then in the video I turn to the second at the end I didn’t get it on video but that one stopped then my brother folded him getting his first ever coyote before I could pull the trigger. I had the 3rd coyote check up at about 275 but my brother had the tripod and I just didn’t get the right shot opportunity for him but I’ll be back for him best believe. Man it was an awesome hunt he was feeling the rush and so was I. Shooting freehand really makes it more exciting as well anything to add to the challenge & I’ve been very eager to get my 30th kill for the year man i don’t know how it gets much better than this stuff.

Took the 22-250 3 shots? Don’t see how I possibly missed the first. Anyone else running a 22-250 & Wi******er varmint ammo seeing the same kind of performance or just me?

Well I’m contemplating deleting this page. It’s not seeming to catch any traction with real feedback or attention like my hopes were for it. If you really enjoy my stuff and feel as you’re maybe getting something useful then please let me know or if I need to do something maybe different that might would do better?

Doubled down on this solo night hunt deep in the woods while shooting freehanded & only using a mouth diaphragm. Called in a triple but couldn’t get a shot opportunity on the last one.

Take my word on this- You enjoy night hunting ag fields with a buddy or two? Build the courage to walk alone as deep as you can into the woods & leave your headlamp at home. I prefer doing my hunting in the woods throughout the brightest moon illumination periods. That’s where the coyotes stay anyways. I’ve found it much more difficult pulling them out into the open on bright nights. So the next logical thing to do is hunt them down in the thick stuff.

The rush starts as soon as you enter the woods and adrenaline explodes when you hear a pack running in on you. In my experience only at night I always hear them before I see them while hunting the woods.

Here is my 2 cents for anyone to take as you please. Don’t let the noise of walking through the woods be your excuse of going home or back to the field. The woods is full of other animals making the same noises walking through it. Armadillo’s especially are very loud. In super loud patches I like to do what I can burst movement. Pausing shortly doing detailed 360 scans. Do not use a light period white or red. Let one of your eyes adjust naturally to the darkness then you can see fine. I keep a small one on me for difficult crossing that’s it. Lastly if you have them get vocal near by then stay put and only briefly do short calling volume low to medium. If you try to move you will never see them they are coming to you already let them come. I give this advice from trial and error from my owns experiences over the years of what has worked and not worked for myself I don’t give advice that I learned the night before from a podcast.. I implement it and speak about it only when I’ve seen success from it. I have such a hatred I want to help as many as I can kill as many as we can so here we are. Happy hunting
