As a new month begins, hopefully the tiny habits you started in January have become easier. Maybe they’re part of your daily or weekly routine by now? If so, great! If not, that’s ok too.

If organizing doesn’t come easily, remember that decluttering is always a good first step. Before you buy the bins + baskets, see what things you can let go of around your home. Discarding the excess stuff in our space leaves room for things we actually use + love.

The 🪄 of hanging things up!

This over the door rack is one of my all-time favorites. It works in closets, pantries, mudrooms and more. It was a perfect way to add vertical storage to this little girl’s room we worked on.

Donate and Too Big 🧺
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
If getting organized is one of your goals for 2024, aim for small, simple tasks and you’re more likely to stick with it. This idea is an easy one to set up + maintain.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
+ Add a donate and too big basket to your kids’ closets
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
+ Once something doesn’t fit anymore, it gets tossed into the donate bin
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
+ The too big basket holds clothes + shoes that they’ll be in soon, but don’t fit into yet
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
+ When the donate bin is full, transfer it into a bag and drop off to a nearby thrift store ♻️
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The simpler the solution, the easier it is to stay organized.

Small habits can lead to big results 🔄

If you’re a skeptic of New Year’s resolutions, I get it. All the enthusiasm in the world can still make cleaning out your closet feel like an impossible task. Instead of launching into a major home organizing project in January, try starting small by cleaning out a drawer.

⏰ Give yourself 10-15 minutes
♻️ Toss or donate any duplicates, broken, or unused items
🧺 Set up drawer dividers to corral loose contents and establish zones for what’s left (Cardboard jewelry+ tech boxes work great in a pinch here)
👏 Celebrate for getting.it.done.

What a nice reminder this has been at the beginning of 2024, that small steps help build momentum towards actual change.

One of my goals for the year is to post more often to share what we’ve been up to and to stay motivated right along with you as you get organized! For the rest of the month, I’ll share other small project ideas and would love to see if you’ve tried any of them. Happy organizing!

Teen closet refresh 🍋

Last week we got to organize this busy teen’s closet. Between storing sports + school uniforms, linens, backpacks, and shoes… this closet had to serve as an all-purpose workhorse! 😅

Parting with old stuff + re-homing things that belonged elsewhere cleared space for all his gear. Our favorite addition (that works in any hat lovers closet) is the over the door cap rack from 🧢

Now he’s all set for the start of a new week!

We kicked off a huge garage project this week and are currently sorting through all of the 🛠️🪚🔨🪛🔩’s
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Containment is key when it comes to tools + hardware.

Here are a few ideas for storing tools, whether your inventory fills one toolbox or rivals the aisles of Home Depot! 😉

🧰 Use drawer organizers + gripped drawer liner inside a tool chest to prevent small tools from rolling around
🧰 Upgrade your coffee can of random nails with a durable divided hardware organizer like this one from
