Yesterday, I participated in a debrief of our GridCon 2026 Conference. coach_mariadipoce said that she saw the dragon of distraction and so many of us. Our community calls the dragon “Flicker”.

The greatest thing that we can do is focus on one cash machine that we can then use to build a wealth machine.

So many of us as real estate professionals change our focus often. We change Cash machines. Then we change niches within the cash machine. Then we get frustrated and give up, just when we’re about to strike gold.

But the best thing we can do, and the most profitable thing we can do, is to make focus our superpower.  To find one thing we’re going to excel that, and master it.

Where are mortgage interest rates headed? There are two economic indicators we look at primarily - inflation and the jobs report. On Friday, the jobs report came in hotter than expected. Also, inflation is still higher. These indicators show that rates will most likely stay the same and some economist think they may increase slightly.
