So, let's just start with the worst! What era was Emily Blunt wearing? But then, what was Salma Hayek and Sally Hawkins and quite a few others thinking? Or rather, what were their stylists?
Since i bashed at the Globes........Look who got it right this time!
Nicole, sleek and glam, and Laura Dern, spot on.
We saw lots of gowns with trains and lots of white, white metals too. Easier trends to do......matching handbag color....Blige and Janney and Mirren and Davis to name a few...and super long drop earrings on almost everyone. Lots of clean necklines, accented, just as we have discussed, with drama at the ear.
Love Jennifer Lawrence, but would have preferred a sleeker hairstyle. Like, Gal Gadot for example. Also the perfect example of the rule, if you bare one part, cover up the other.
She wore a deep plunge, but chaste skirt and the necklace was perfectly placed.
Lupita, always lovely, but looked a bit too much like she was waiting for the coronation.
Allison Janney....just WOW! And, the grand dames, Helen Mirren, svelte and sexy, Fonda, as well and Eva Marie Saint, grace personified.
What did we think of Margot Robbie? Soft, floaty layers, but was it too fringey, too droopy? Let me know what you think.
Awards season over, now onto our own frocks for Spring!

And, the winner is...... Clearly Reese!
Simply elegant, sleek hair, properly jeweled, in a stunning one shoulder.
What's with all the big and messy hair on so many?
Which stylists thought that fushia lipstick belongs on everyone? Emma Stone perfect except the lips. And then, many forgot to put some lipstick on.
Allison Janney, just awful! Elizabeth Moss, still channelling Mad Men, and I'm sorry, but I really wanted to take some scissors to the lace nervously fluttering around Nicole's shoulders on an otherwise elegant gown.
Barely clad presenters wearing "bandage" dresses and worse should take a note from Laura Dern sexy with her sheer modesty panel.
I liked Sarah Paulson, Helen Mirren, always spot on, Penelope Cruz and Selma.
Just had to share! Keep warm all! Writing to you from ice and snow covered NC, but the ocean still looks great!
