**COHABITATION INVESTIGATION HELPS CLIENT END ALIMONY**
A client contacted PLRG Inc. after his divorce had been final for five years. Although infidelity had been an issue during the marriage, he was still required to pay his former wife alimony.
Recently, his children told him that their mother had a boyfriend who appeared to be spending most of his time at her home. The client retained PLRG Inc. to conduct a **cohabitation investigation** and document whether the boyfriend was actually residing at the residence and whether their living arrangement could be relevant to his ongoing alimony obligation.
During surveillance, our investigators documented a consistent pattern of domestic activity. The boyfriend was observed spending numerous nights at the residence, arriving and leaving in different clothing, bringing groceries into the home, taking out the trash, checking the mail, and transporting the children to school and after-school activities.
Investigators also documented activity inside the residence from lawful observation points, including the boyfriend routinely preparing meals and moving comfortably throughout the kitchen—additional evidence consistent with the home functioning as his residence rather than a place he occasionally visited.
Our client presented the evidence in court and requested termination of his alimony obligation. A PLRG investigator testified and authenticated the photographs and video evidence collected during the investigation.
