Governor Lamont’s recent ‘Stay Safe, Stay Home’ executive order deemed nurseries and garden centers, as well as businesses providing landscape services and outdoor maintenance, essential and are allowed to remain open (see ct.gov/coronavirus for more information).⠀

Outdoor Design & Living is ready, willing, and able to help you and your community; perhaps be a distraction bringing a little happiness and beauty during these trying times.⠀

Our maintenance crews continue to complete spring maintenance services and begin mowing lawns soon. This work is outdoors and does not require any contact with our clients. We have staggered our crew start times, requiring our crews to travel with only two at any one time in our trucks and we’ve outfitted our vehicles with hand sanitizers, latex gloves, and disinfecting wipes. Please call us if you would prefer to delay any visits to your home.⠀

Our nursery is operating with a minimal staff and receiving new daily shipments of trees, shrubs, perennials and annuals daily. We are limiting standing inside and the staff is abiding by the recommended CDC precautions by wearing gloves, sanitizing tools and maintaining social distancing this includes loading cars and all deliveries. We are able handle transactions in many creative ways to assure no physical contact.⠀

Our new e-commerce site coming soon will give you the opportunity to see our creations such as table top or container planters, assorted herb planters for the kitchen, do-it-yourself pansy planter kits, terrariums etc.⠀

Our design team is busy drafting plans for Spring and Summer landscaping projects. We are meeting with clients outdoors and or sharing pictures and files digitally to meet your landscape design needs remotely. We have the capability to bring a plan to life thru a colored sketch or 3D rendering.
