Solano-Napa SBDC We're here to help you and your business thrive. The Solano-Napa SBDC is hosted by the Workforce Development Board of Solano County.

The Solano-Napa SBDC provides expert no-cost advising, webinars, and trainings to guide small business owners and entrepreneurs and foster economic growth in Solano and Napa Counties. The Solano-Napa SBDC offers free, individualized, and confidential one-on-one advising for existing businesses and start-ups with 500 or fewer employees. Business advisors are experienced in a variety of areas, inclu

ding business plans, marketing, restaurant operations, human resources, retail and product pricing. In addition to one-on-one advising and webinars, the Solano-Napa SBDC has several ongoing programs for business owners, including:

• Biz Rx: Developed by the Solano-Napa SBDC and launched in 2020, Biz Rx features two key components, both free to participants – a webinar series on marketing and revenue improvement opportunities as well as a confidential one-on-one assessment of your business with a SBDC advisor.

• Entrepreneurs Roundtables: The Solano Napa SBDC offers several business roundtables in both Solano and Napa counties for business owners to come together, share their experiences, and receive guidance and advice from their peers.

• NxLevel: The NxLevel Entrepreneurial Training Program is an 11-week comprehensive, practical business education and enhancement program for serious entrepreneurs. As part of the program, all participants hear from experts from multiple business disciplines and develop and present a business plan. Applications are now open for the Napa Makes Working Artist Accelerator, a free business-development program from the City of Napa designed specifically for artists.

Whether you're preparing to sell your work for the first time or looking to grow an established creative practice, the program provides practical business tools, professional guidance, and connections to Napa’s arts and business communities.

The program is offered in partnership with the Solano-Napa SBDC and supported by Mechanics Bank.

Applications are due September 2, 2026.

Eligible artists must:
• Live or conduct business in or within 20 miles of Napa
• Have an existing body of artwork or art product
• Have a business website or Instagram to display and sell their work
• Be available to attend all required sessions

When Deanna Hurn opened Fairfield’s Miracle Math Coaching more than 15 years ago, she admits she didn’t know the first thing about running a business.

What she did have was a vision 💡: a program inspired by brain-based learning and a team of academic coaches helping students build confidence in math.

Deanna reached out to the Solano-Napa SBDC for guidance and connected with business advisors she still talks to today 🤝

Over the years, she’s grown Miracle Math Coaching from an at-home startup into a thriving business with more than 20 academic coaches serving hundreds of students. The SBDC has been beside her every step of the way.

She still checks in regularly with her SBDC advisors because, as she says, “it’s one place where everything can come together.”
