New article from Shoutout SoCal on what we’re building . A key life principle for me is “a single line between thought, word, and deed,” which is drawn from Yogic/Vedic wisdom, and is often watered down to the term “laser focus” that requires less responsibility on behalf of the user. This single line concept is foundational for the culture we’re building at ReelwUrld, and that leadership position catalyzes me to rapidly filter out people that are not aligned with this practice. Within the last few month in particular, the volume on my adherence to this principle has gone to new heights, helping me cut through the noise of behaviors based on fear, control, and lack that run rampant in Hollywood, the startup world, and daily society as a whole. It meant a lot to speak to SHOUTOUT SOCAL on the subject, and I’m glad they used this meaningful image of a son being taken away from his father from one of the most powerful scenes in Charlie Chaplin’s The Kid (perhaps the most relevant film for social media culture, circa 1921).
