🌲 North Carolina is a national leader in Christmas tree production!

Our state grows about 4 million Christmas trees each year—second only to Oregon’s 5 million. The beloved Fraser fir, which makes up 90% of NC’s Christmas tree crop and thrives in our mountain landscapes, is shipped nationwide and has even graced the White House.

Fun fact: Ashe County is the largest Christmas tree–producing county in the entire country, growing roughly 2 million trees annually!
