In her role, Kristen helps keep things moving by ensuring client funding is sent promptly and incoming payments are accurately applied each day. Her work behind the scenes plays an important role in delivering the reliable service our clients count on.

When asked what she appreciates most about working with our clients, Kristen shared that she values the kindness she's received throughout her many interactions over the years.
One of the accomplishments she's most proud of is her longevity with the company and the opportunity to grow through several different roles during her 17 years on the team.

The 20-day clock on your authority application: How to manage, avoid Motus snags

A growing number of FMCSA authority applications have been pending well beyond typical processing timelines, though some data may be affected by status issues related to FMCSA's transition to the Motus system. Carriers should note that filing requirements effectively begin 20 days after their application is published in the FMCSA Register, not the commonly cited 90-day timeframe, which includes a later grace period before dismissal.

Though it's not exactly a hard deadline, when you file for motor carrier authority, regulation gives just 20 days for insurance and BOC-3 filings to make their way to FMCSA. You don't control those filings. Avoid Motus snags and get ahead of the clock with these steps.

For two decades, Lynn has been a trusted resource for our clients, helping them make informed decisions by monitoring customer payment trends and evaluating creditworthiness. Her expertise gives clients confidence that they're working with valid, credible brokers while helping protect and strengthen their businesses.

One of the things Lynn values most is the positive relationships she's built with clients over the years. Those long-standing connections reflect the trust, consistency, and dedication she brings to her work every day.

When asked what she's most proud of, Lynn immediately pointed to the people she works with. She credits the exceptional team around her, recognizing the talent, support, and commitment that make Great Plains and Partners Funding such a special place to work.

Lynn's 20-year journey has included many roles and accomplishments. She began as an Account Executive with Great Plains before moving into collections. Shortly after Partners Funding was founded, she joined the team to oversee buying and collections before advancing into her current position as AR Manager for both companies. Throughout every chapter, she has embraced new challenges, and her passion for learning and helping others has never wavered.

FMCSA continues supporting the transition to Motus: USDOT Registration System, launched on May 19th

To help reduce service disruptions during the registration system transition, FMCSA has temporarily suspended enforcement of biennial updates and the inactivation of USDOT Numbers for entities that have not completed the required biennial update.

What This Means for You
- Additional Time Granted: Registrants whose biennial update was due on or after June 1, 2026 will receive additional time to complete any required updates.
- No Inactivation for Failing to Submit the Biennial Update: Motor carriers and regulated entities will not have their USDOT Number inactivated for failing to submit a biennial update.
- Advance Notice Before Re-implementation: This suspension will remain in effect until further notice. FMCSA will provide ample warning prior to re-implementing the biennial update requirement.

What a wonderful day celebrating Ashlee at her office baby shower!

We enjoyed great food, fun conversations, lots of laughs, and showered Ashlee with gifts as she prepares for her newest adventure: welcoming a new member into her family!
