I used to think the answer was simply to WORK MORE.

More overtime.
More extra shifts.
More hours away from home.

Yes, the paycheck gets bigger… but so does the time you’re giving up.

At some point I had to ask myself:

How long can I keep increasing my income by increasing my working hours?

That question changed the way I started thinking about my future.

I still believe in working hard.
I just don’t want my time to be the only thing I can exchange for more income.

I WAS PROVIDING FOR MY FAMILY… BUT I WAS MISSING TIME WITH THEM. ❤️

As working parents, especially immigrants, we work hard because we want our children to have a better life.

But sometimes, providing comes with a price—long shifts, overtime, exhaustion, and constantly saying, “Maybe next time.”

That became one of my biggest pain points.

I didn’t want my kids to only remember how hard Mom worked. I wanted them to remember the rides, the conversations, the laughter, and the little moments we shared together. 🥹❤️

That’s one reason I started building something alongside my job—something that could give me more options without always adding another shift.

Because making money matters… but being present matters too.

Grateful for life.
Grateful for my family.

Grateful for the lessons, the growth, and even the challenges that made me stronger.
Sometimes we get so focused on what we’re still waiting for that we forget how far God has already brought us.
Different day, same faithful God. ❤️
Today, I’m counting my blessings and trusting God for what’s ahead.

🔥 HAVING A GOOD JOB DOESN’T ALWAYS MEAN YOU FEEL FINANCIALLY COMFORTABLE.

This is a conversation many working families are having right now.

Groceries.
Childcare.
Healthcare.
School activities.
Housing.
And everyday bills that just keep coming.

You can work full-time, earn a decent income, and still find yourself asking, “Why does it feel like everything is getting more expensive?”

This is one reason I believe having options matters.

For me, building something online was never about quitting my job overnight. It was about learning a new skill and creating an additional option that could fit around my work and family responsibilities.

Especially as immigrants, many of us are not only building a life here—we may also have responsibilities beyond our own household.

One paycheck may be enough today, but I would rather prepare than wait until I desperately need another option.
