Cub Scouts Invite Families to Free Fish-O-Ree

Family campout and fishing derby set for Aug. 7–8 at Williams Scout Reservation

Local Cub Scouts will host a free family campout and fishing derby Aug. 7–8 at Williams Scout Reservation.

The “Fish-O-Ree” is open to all Scouts, siblings and families interested in joining Scouting. Overnight camping is optional.

Participants may arrive at 6 p.m. Friday. The fishing derby will run from 8 to 10 a.m. Saturday, followed by an awards ceremony at 12:30 p.m. Families should bring their own fishing poles, bait and tackle.

Lion, Tiger, Wolf and Bear Scouts must have an adult present. BSA Medical Forms A and B are required for participants. Pets, alcohol and fi****ms are prohibited.

There is no charge for children or families interested in joining Scouts. Registration is available at scoutingevent.com/480-114070.

Fairview Republican wishes to extend our sincere apologies to the campaigns of Chris Woods and Travis Darr, both candidates for Major County District 3 Commissioner. In this week’s edition of the newspaper, an incorrect version of Page 1 was sent to the printer. A prior version of Page 1 was sent to the printer and not the corrected version, and as a result it indicates the paid front page ad of Travis Darr was paid for by Chris Woods. That is obviously not the case, and we offer our sincere apologies to both Mr. Woods and Mr. Darr for the error.
