Sewer line issues are not usually the result of major failures. Most of the time, they come from small misses during installation.

Misaligned joints, debris left in the line, or minor damage are easy to overlook because the system is buried and out of sight. Those issues often do not show up until the home is in use, which is when they turn into callbacks, rework, and added cost.

A lot of these aren’t obvious during install. It’s things like slope being slightly off, connections not fully seated, or debris that was never cleared.

This is where issues tend to surface after close. In many cases, they can be identified earlier with a quick check before turnover.

Addressing it after the fact is always more disruptive and more expensive than confirming it up front. These are preventable issues that impact schedule, budget, and the homeowner experience.
