One of my favorite business podcasts is "How I Built This with Guy Raz." At the end of every interview, Guy always asks his guests, "Was it luck or hard work?"

Over the years, I've day dreamed of him asking me this very same question. It's actually a really important question.

Guy, this is for you... 😊

I don't think it can be one or the other. It's both. I feel really lucky to have been born where I was, lived the life I have even when it hasn't always been smooth or plentiful. I feel lucky to have experienced what I have thus far in business and life. I feel lucky to have the opportunities that I do. I feel lucky to have my perspective, even when I had to pay a price for it.

Yet, at the end of the day, none of my rewards didn't come without hard hard work. I started working at 15 1/2 years old, doing side jobs long before that. It has never been the easiest road for me. I come from a long line of hardworking people.

Some days I feel lucky, but most days I am just really tired. 🍀
