We are very proud to have been able to contribute to this Eagle Scout project! Training the next generation of solar experts and helping our favorite non-profit go solar was a win-win!

Fallbrook Land Conservancy has gone solar! Thank you to BSA Life Scout Jackson Liebes, who chose FLC for his Eagle Scout project and raised nearly $2,000 from FLC members and Fallbrook Village Rotary to make the project a reality. The solar panels were donated by local solar contractor and FLC Village Green member, SolRx Energy. On Saturday, March 15th, Jackson rallied his BSA Troop 731 to help build the project with assistance from Jonah Liebes, Jackson’s father and Owner of SolRx Energy. The system will be a long-term benefit for FLC by producing all our electricity for the next 20+ years. Each year, the system will produce approximately $4,000 worth of electricity that we won’t have to buy from SDG&E! That totals $80,000 in savings over the life of the system making this an annuity that will support our mission for decades to come. Photo by Susan Liebes.

We are proud to support the Fallbrook Land Conservancy as a sponsor of Stagecoach Sunday 2023! The FLC protects open space, provides hiking trails, and preserves important wildlife habitat in San Diego County. Plus this event is just a lot of fun!

Stagecoach Sunday is THIS Sunday, October 1, 2023 from 11 am - 3 pm! Don't miss your chance to enjoy live music from The Way Brothers, delicious BBQ from The Rib Shack, cold beer from Booze Brothers Brewing Co., exciting stagecoach rides, and up-close encounters with native wildlife, all while raising funds to support FLC's mission of protecting open space and trails, and our environmental program. Be sure to check out our silent auction and raffle, and bring the kids because we have games, crafts, and face painting in the Kids Corral!

Admission to the event is free, but you'll need tickets for food, drinks, and stagecoach rides. Saturday is the last day to purchase tickets online at FallbrookLandConservancy.org. You can also buy them at the event.

No matter who you are or what stage of life you're in- you use energy. And that energy is getting more expensive. By getting a solar panel system installed on your home, you lock in your electricity rates for 20 years. No more surprise rate hikes from SDG&E to ruin your budget. With a storage battery, seen in the picture, your return on investment will be less than 5 years and around 3 years for PV alone. The battery adds black out protection and also protection from the SDG&E's premium 'on-peak' rates from 4-9pm.

Go solar now to lock in NEM2 rates!

You may have heard that the big utilities won their fight to make solar panels less valuable for homeowners. Starting in April, 2023, solar payback time will go from about 4 years to 7+ years unless you lock in today's rates. However, if you submit now, once your interconnection agreement is approved, you have two years to get the system installed to keep the favorable rates. But if you wait, the return on investment of solar drops dramatically.

I've been beating solar deadlines for more than 20 years here in Fallbrook and around North County. If you ever plan on going solar, DO NOT WAIT. Now is the time to lock in your solar savings for 20 years which is the length of the agreement with SDG&E. Contact me and we'll quickly work up a system design to meet your needs and budget. With that completed, we will lock in your NEM2 connection agreement with SDG&E and you'll have up to 2 years to get the system installed.

No pressure, (j/k- there is pressure) but if you are thinking you may go solar in the future, now is the time. I'm a small, owner operated local company. Most of my installations are completed within 30 days of contract so no long wait like other companies.

Good news! Installing solar just became an even better investment! The new Inflation Reduction Act expands the federal tax credit from 26% to 30% of the total purchase price. This means for each $10,000 you spend on solar, you now get a $3,000 tax credit- up from $2,600. In San Diego, that means your solar will pay for itself in electricity production in just 3 1/2 years, and then you'll have another 20+ years of clean energy at no additional cost!

Do you have solar but still have an electric bill? Adding a few kW could zero out your consumption and virtually eliminate your bill. Each panel produces about 600 kWh per year so 8-10 more panels could be perfect. Including a battery at the same time saves a lot of installation costs and further reduces your cost with time of use savings. A great view of the Fallbrook back country from a recent SolRx Energy solar electric project. This customer is now able to produce $3,000 per year worth of electricity from their roof by spending $12,000 on a 6 kW system (Your mileage may vary). The system should last for at least 20 years and protect the roof in the meantime. At over 20% annual return, there aren’t many investments as good a solar system for your home. Also as a small, Fallbrook business, we donate a portion of our income to local organizations so your project can help support our whole community.
