In Memoriam – Camille Nahas

It is with great sadness that we recognize the loss of one of our former colleagues, Camille Nahas. Camille worked at The Wicks Group during the summer of 2017 as she was considering attending law school. Following her time at TWG, Camille earned her Master's degree from Pepperdine University, graduating summa cm laude and dedicated her career to serving others as a therapist.

Though her time with us was short, Camille will always be remembered as a valuable part of The Wicks Group and a bright, kind and hard working young professional. Our sincere and heartfelt condolences are with Camille's loved ones during this difficult time.

Camille will be missed.

🌏🇲🇳✈️ The Wicks Group (TWG) is pleased to announce the successful completion of our kickoff trip to Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia as part of official, in-country activities under the Aviation Safety Standards Technical Assistance (ASSTA) Project, funded by the U.S. Trade and Development Agency (USTDA).

Over a 2-week period in June, the TWG team met with leadership and technical staff from the Civil Aviation Authority of Mongolia (CAAM) to research and assess the progress made by CAAM since TWG’s initial baseline assessment (BA) in 2024, along with representatives from MIAT Mongolian Airlines and the Ministry of Road and Transport, to formally launch the project and establish a roadmap for the work ahead. The visit included introductory meetings, regulatory gap analysis sessions, and discussions on inspector capacity building in support of Mongolia's preparations for a future FAA International Aviation Safety Assessment (IASA) audit.

TWG is grateful to CAAM, MIAT, the U.S. Embassy, and the Ministry of Road and Transport for their warm welcome and strong engagement during this important first step. We look forward to continued collaboration as the ASSTA Project moves into its next phase.

✈️ The Wicks Group was pleased to meet with leadership from MIAT Mongolian Airlines while in Mongolia

Representing TWG – Managing Director Glenn Wicks; Partner Ekaterina Grimes; Director, Consulting Services Lenica M.; Senior Technical Consultants Alfred Hight and Jerry Ostronic; and Head of Civil Aviation Cooperation Division Batbayar Gurragchaa briefed MIAT leadership on the background and objectives of the project. In order for Mongolian air carriers to operate direct flights to the United States, Mongolia must successfully pass a U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) International Aviation Safety Assessment (IASA) audit, demonstrating compliance with ICAO Annexes 1, 6, and 8.

Discussions between TWG, CAAM, and MIAT’s leadership addressed MIAT's continued support for the project, as well as cooperation between TWG and MIAT to help ensure the timely completion of foreign carrier licensing requirements necessary for U.S. operations.

TWG appreciates MIAT Mongolian Airlines' partnership and is grateful for the airline's ongoing engagement as Mongolia works toward strengthening its civil aviation safety oversight and expanding international air service. We look forward to continued collaboration in support of this important national objective.
