Just because I can suggest a dozen positions in labor doesn’t mean I should.

Her body knows.
My job is to watch and wait, not control or perform.

Birth isn’t my time to show off all my awesome wisdom.
This is her space, her ceremony.

I’m there to witness, to hold space, to anchor the room.
And occasionally, when the energy calls for it, I’ll gently offer a quiet suggestion.

But I’m not storming into her birth telling her to start walking, go sit on the toilet, or bounce on a ball.

I’m sneaking in quietly.
I’m watching her.
Sensing the energy.
Finding the place where I can support without disturbing the magic.

And most of the time?
That doesn’t involve telling her what to do with her body.

We’ve already done the work during pregnancy.
She’s already tuned in.
She knows.

✨ The real work is in trusting her. Not directing her.

All of it's sacred ya'll!!
The joy and laughter.
The tears and frustration.
The triggers and trauma.
The love and cuddles.
The days you're crushing life and feel on top of the world
AND the days you're stuck in your bed barely functioning.
The times you've felt so held and supported
AND the times you were abandoned and alone to face the giants on your own.
Its all part of your story and every single thing is a critical piece to your big picture.

People think only the quiet, serene, intentional, candlelit moments are sacred.
Truth is the sacredness can be found in the slammed doors, ugly cries, and pull-your-hair-out frustrations.
It's ALL part of your journey. Every thing is always working in your favor.

So dream big and trust deep

You ever feel that little gut nudge saying,
“This isn’t right for me”…
…but you say yes anyway because you don’t want to make waves?

This is your reminder:

✨ It’s your pregnancy.
✨ It’s your birth.
✨ It’s your baby.
YOU make the decisions. Always.

If a provider can’t respect your no now…
they won’t suddenly respect it in birth.
Trust me. I've seen it happen time and time again.

You’re allowed to ask questions.
You’re allowed to trust yourself.
You’re allowed to advocate for what feels right and to fully understand every decision made for your pregnancy and birth.
YES, even the tiny ones that don't seem like that big of a deal!

Expecting in just a couple weeks, this mama joined us for her last empty-armed Sacred Womb Space circle.
After we shared, laughed, and connected in circle, we set aside some time for those who wanted to stay a bit longer to offer her gentle massage in honor and preparation for her soon-coming birth and baby.

No big ceremony.
Just women, showing up for each other.
Blessing her, her baby, and her birth.

That’s what we do here.

This weekend, we’re gathering for a Village Prenatal.....a quarterly space intentionally set for big ceremony, fully centered around our pregnant mamas.

Think story sharing, gentle massage, sisterhood, and yummy nourishing food!

We'll also have time for gently tuning into baby’s heartbeat, exploring their position in the womb, and learning to check your own fundal height—all in a sacred, intuitive, non-clinical way.

Come be nourished.
Come offer your presence.
Come as you are.
All are welcome and needed, pregnant or not.

I wish more people understood this!!
Birth actually doesn’t end when the baby arrives!

That moment is beautiful! We're all feeling that oxytocin and soaking it in, yes. But mama’s body is STILL working. It's crucial for her body to stay in labor, for her uterus to know her job isn't finished yet. She still has another birth that needs to take place.

The placental birth deserves way more respect, reverence, and space holding than most people grant it.

Keep the lights low. Keep the energy soft. Hold the space.
She’s not done yet.

Might sound wild to some… but I’ve seen firsthand how powerful this final stage can be when it's supported and how destructive it can be when it's not.
