Access Updates

How to become an SEU and access your organization’s PEPPER:

Sign in to the CMS I&A System, https://bit.ly/4olo7Jn, using your existing National Plan and Provider Enumeration System (NPPES) or Provider Enrollment, Chain, and Ownership (PECOS) credentials.

Request the PEPPER business function under your organization. The Comparative Billing Report (CBR) business function is also available and can be requested at the same time.

Your request must be approved by your Authorized Official (AO) or Access Manager (AM).

Once approved, SEUs can log in to the PEPPER Portal and download their organization’s PEPPER.

Reminder: The 2025 HHA PEPPER is Now Available

The 2025 Program for Evaluating Payment Patterns Electronic Report (PEPPER) for Home Health Agencies (HHAs) is now available. Download your PEPPER to help you review your Medicare billing data so you can identify issues before problems arise and support accurate claims. Use it to:

Spot billing patterns that may need review or improvement

Identify areas that may need closer monitoring or internal audits

Find services that may be under‑coded or over‑coded

Track trends such as longer patient stays

How to Get Your PEPPER

Authorized officials (AOs), Access Managers (AMs), and Staff End Users (SEUs) can access the reports through the PEPPER Portal. https://bit.ly/4onGPjw

Authorized Officials (AOs), Access Managers (AMs), and Staff End Users (SEUs) can access their organization's PEPPER through the PEPPER Portal.

To become an SEU and access your PEPPER:
- Sign in to the CMS I&A System using your NPPES or PECOS credentials: CMS I&A System
- Request the PEPPER business function (and optional CBR access).
- Obtain AO or AM approval.
