Talon Air Takes Off into a New Era!

Talon Air has entered an exciting new chapter with a management-led buyout that closed on January 2, 2026.

The new ownership group includes CEO James Chitty, COO Nicholas Piazza, and the current Talon Air leadership team who have been operating the company and driving its impressive growth under prior ownership. Talon now moves forward as a fully independent company with continuity in leadership and operations.

In 2025, the team added 12 aircraft to the managed fleet, including nine in the fourth quarter, reflecting strong momentum.

Based at Republic Airport in Farmingdale, NY, Talon Air is among the top 15 charter operators in the U.S., managing about 40 aircraft, with top-tier safety ratings and an FAA-approved maintenance station.
