This position is for a professional who is interested in supporting families and individuals in accomplishing their goals and improving their lives. As an ABA Therapist, you will be working directly with the individual and family on the goals that they helped develop with their Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). We believe that learning is fostered best through play and routines, in as natural environments as possible. The ABA Therapist is someone who takes initiative to create learning opportunities through play and routines.
Bilingual and fluent in Spanish/English highly encouraged to apply.
Qualifications:
Associates degree required
Bachelors degree preferred
Experience using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)
Experience working with children and individuals ages 1.5-21 years old
Experience working with children with special needs
RBT preferred
Responsibilities:
Maintain Respect and Confidentiality for all clients
Build rapport with family and individuals
Implement individualized programs for children and young adults based on ABA principles that increase communication, self-help, social and play skills.
Utilize positive reinforcement and antecedent modification to increase appropriate behaviors over time.
Adapt activities for success
Implement programs and plans provided by Board Certified Behavior Analyst
Manage inappropriate behaviors that occur through the implementation of Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)
Encourage and support families participation related to program targets
Daily collection and graphing of all required data (DTT, NET, Manding, Behaviors, TAβs, etc.)
Complete documentation within the session, accurate and completely
Travel to and from sessions with personal vehicle (depending on telehealth/in-home assignment)
