We’re proud to share that our Customer Experience and Support Coordinator, Jessi Settlemoir, has been selected for the second class of the Farmington Regional Chamber’s Lead Local program!

At Aptitude, Jessi helps shape the experience our customers have with us, from answering questions and resolving concerns to finding ways we can communicate more clearly and better serve our communities. Her knowledge of our customers and thoughtful approach make her an important part of our team.

Over the next nine months, she’ll strengthen her leadership skills, learn more about our region and connect with other emerging leaders. We’re excited to see her grow professionally and bring new ideas, relationships and perspectives back to Aptitude, benefiting our company, our customers, and the communities we serve.

We’ve received a report of someone calling customers and pretending to be Aptitude Internet. The caller claims there is a problem with the customer’s computer or internet service, then sends a link that could give them access to the computer.

This call is not from Aptitude Internet.

Aptitude may request contact, address or payment information when you contact us to establish or manage your service. However, we will never unexpectedly call and ask you to:

• Click a link that gives us access to your computer
• Share a password, Social Security number, security code or verification code
• Download software or apps to fix your computer

If you receive a suspicious call, hang up and call us directly at 573-755-0555. Please share this warning with friends and family who are Aptitude Internet customers that may also be targeted.

**What do we mean by "Before You Dig?" It's more than just major construction.** If you're installing a fence, planting a tree, adding landscaping, putting in irrigation, building a deck or patio, or doing any project that disturbs the ground, it's important to locate underground utilities before you start.

Here's what Aptitude Internet customers need to know:

✔ Call **811** to have public utilities marked FIRST.
✔ Then request an **Aptitude Customer Locate** at least **3 business days before digging** so we can locate your private fiber line.

Many people don't realize that 811 may not mark the private fiber line running from the road to your home. Taking both steps helps prevent accidental damage, service interruptions, and unexpected repair costs.

Our team recently worked with the City of Farmington, Missouri on a fiber relocation project at a local water tower facility as part of ongoing infrastructure improvements.

The work involved transferring and re-splicing existing fiber connections while maintaining network reliability throughout the transition. Projects like this require careful planning, coordination, and technical expertise to ensure critical connections remain in place while infrastructure improvements move forward.

Thank you to the City of Farmington for the opportunity to partner on this project and for the trust placed in our team. We also want to recognize our technicians, whose skill and attention to detail helped make this project a success.

There’s a lot coming together at Valor Bluffs Golf Course right now, and seeing the transformation in person this week was impressive. As one of our newest SmartBiz customers, we’ve been helping finalize connectivity across the property as they get closer to opening soon.

We spent some time around the clubhouse with General Manager Chantel, reviewed a few remaining technical details, and it’s easy to see the vision they’ve built for the course. With the modern atmosphere, relaxed feel, and everything they’ve done with the grounds itself, this is shaping up to be a really unique addition to the area (night time golf remains, but there's so much more that's new!). Looking forward to sharing more once they officially open.
