NEW POSITION:

Director of Project Management – Commercial contracting

Our client, an established and growing Industrial and Commercial contracting company in NE Metro Detroit (think Romeo area), is looking to add to their leadership team with this newly created role of Director of Project Management! This is a great opportunity for someone who has strong experience in leading, training and mentoring Project Managers and a strong understanding of self-performing commercial contracting. Our client is a family owned company and you would be part of the leadership team, with a seat at the leadership table. You’d be helping shape culture, growth and processes in this role. Current reporting structure is to owner/CEO with direct reports being the Project Managers.

The right candidate will have:
• Leadership experience in Project Management
• Experience in self performing commercial contracting
• Strong understanding of municipality and other government contracts
• P & L responsibility for division (in communication with CFO)
• Creates processes and procedures to help streamline and accommodate company growth
• Customer relationships, change orders, RFI’s submittals, project documentation and closeouts

This position will have some direct Project Management responsibilities, but primary will be managing the department, the team, and processes. Must understand this is not a huge corporation where you will be lost on the org chart. This is a true leadership position where you’re helping shape the future. You’re bringing the experience and want to lead, and our client will be compensating you well for it! Must have strong computer and communication skills.

Salary range for this role is $150 - $175+k, plus incentives. Awesome benefit package including 401k plus matching, BCBS family insurance coverage (80% employer paid), PTO, company vehicle, paid holidays and more. This will be an in office role with maybe 10% travel to project locations. This is probably more than a 40 hour work week. Since projects run longer than the 9 to 5, you may need to be available for phone calls in the off hours (weekends, after 5, etc). Not much need to go on site, but phone calls may happen.

Recruiting Coordinator/Sourcer – DIRECT HIRE – Troy, MI

Our client, an executive search firm, is looking to add to their team with a Recruiting Coordinator/Sourcer. This role will be instrumental in identifying qualified candidates for searches performed by the firm. Great opportunity for someone who likes research, analytics, digging in, finding solutions and coordinating with team members to move projects along. This is a data/desk job to start, but with a career path that can lead to candidate development.

The right candidate will have:
• Strong experience in research, candidate sourcing, database usage or market research
• Ability to attend meetings, ask questions, provide input, and then pivot as needed to a new direction
• Ability to self-manage and prioritize, but also understand the cycle of searches and the urgency to get rolling
• Project Management of some kind would be incredibly helpful in this role!

This position requires someone with a high level of ethics and integrity, strong attention to detail, ability to communicate and receive feedback without getting frustrated, ability to pivot as search demands change and be accountable for your work. Must be able to self-manage and not be too rigid in daily schedules. This may sound like a tall order, but it comes with upsides as well! NEW POSITION: Account Manager/Outside Sales – DIRECT HIRE – Clinton Township, MI

Great opportunity for a mid-level Account Manager/Outside Sales in a growing company! This position is geared toward building a career with our client. You are bringing the energy, accountability and problem solving and they are providing product training, clear and established territory definition, and uncapped commission structure! Trial Paralegal – DIRECT HIRE – Troy, MI

Our client, a boutique litigation law firm in Troy, MI is looking to add to their team with a Trial Paralegal! Our client’s focus is complex business litigation, product liability litigation, class actions and appeals, and trial experience is a MUST!

Our client, a boutique trial and litigation law firm HQ’d here in Metro Detroit, is looking to add to their team with a Recruiting and Employee Experience Specialist. This new position is designed to be the main point of contact in and out of the firm for all new hires, recruiting efforts and employee engagement and satisfaction. This is a career move into a leadership role within a company that values a proactive attitude and a high level of accountability. There is a lot of autonomy in this role, but you will have the resources of the managing partners and internal marketing team.

This position is a great fit for someone with:
• Recruiting experience in a law firm or possibly a CPA firm. Candidates outside of those disciplines won’t be considered.

Carpentry Project Manager – DIRECT HIRE – Chesterfield, MI
Our client, an established commercial construction company, is looking to add to their team with a Carpentry Project Manager. This position will be instrumental in managing the project once the bid has been awarded. This is a salary position, mostly in office. It is NOT a superintendent position out in the field.

The right candidate will have:
• Experience in metal stud carpentry AND project management. This is a MUST.
• Worked with reviewing and finalizing contracts, set and stick to the budgets.
• Worked with subcontractors, including vising the job site when needed
• Worked with vendors, invoicing, resolving job site problems and communicating with customers
• Experience in material takeoffs, job cost budgets and approval of billings to customers

This position will require a lot of autonomy, but also the ability to learn our client’s language, process and their customers. Previous experience is important but so is learning a new way of doing things. This is a full time, salary position. Hours are usually starting at 7:00 am and going to 5:00 or so, depending on the project. Salary range for this position is $90 - $130k depending on experience and a solid benefit package. Travel will be mostly in the metro Detroit area.

Accounting Specialist – DIRECT HIRE – Troy, MI

Our client, an established boutique law firm is adding to their team with this Accounting Specialist role. This is a great opportunity for someone who really loves to dig into the numbers, research and problem solve to correct issues around billing and can learn new systems as you go. This position will primarily focus on billing, followed by AP, AR and credit card reconciliations. Strong attention to detail and I cannot stress that enough.

The right candidate will have:
· Experience in a professional services environment (law firm, CPA office, etc) dealing with client billing
· Experience in AP, AR and credit card reconciliations
· Ability to work independently, understand the impact of accuracy in billing and continually learn their clients’ billing systems
· High volume of information, but it’s accuracy not speed
· High level of integrity, communication and commitment to getting it done right.

This is a growth oriented position. Once you learn these basics you can then grow to learn more in this small accounting department. You’ll report directly to the Accounting Director. The environment is business casual, friendly and semi-quiet in the office. This position will start out in the office for the initial 90 days (located in Troy), then go to hybrid (schedule pre-determined). $60 - $70k salary for 40 hour work week (8:30 – 5:00pm), awesome benefit package.

NEW POSITION: Industrial Safety Equipment Surveyor – DIRECT HIRE – Farmington Hills (50% travel)

Our client, a leader in Industrial Safety Compliance is looking to add an Industrial Safety Equipment Surveyor to their team! This position will start out being trained here locally and after a period of time, will be travelling about two weeks out of the month. Travel will be M – F, across the entire US. You will essentially be surveying industrial equipment and documenting energy sources.

The right candidate will have:
· Experience in industrial and manufacturing equipment including electrical, fluid and mechanical systems, machine tool, automation systems and more.
· Ability to work independently, strong problem solving, talk with various levels in the shop environment, and overall coordination of travel and work assignments based on need (non-emergency situation related)
· Strong communication skills regarding project status, concerns and other issues
· Strong understanding of OHSA and other safety requirements in an industrial environment
· Must be able to travel about 50% of the time. Domestic mostly, flying out Monday, returning Friday. Some projects may take weeks to complete, but you’ll be home on the weekends!
· Ability to work unlimited OT while traveling.
