🔥🚒 NATIONAL FIRE PREVENTION WEEK 2026 🚒🔥

This week, the Farmingville Fire Department is proud to recognize National Fire Prevention Week!

This year’s theme is:

⚡🔋 “CHARGE INTO FIRE SAFETY — SAFE CHARGING IS A SUPERPOWER!” 🔋⚡

Lithium-ion batteries power many of the things we use every day—from phones and tablets to e-bikes, power tools, toys, and more. When these batteries are damaged, improperly charged, or used with the wrong equipment, they can create a serious fire risk.

During Fire Prevention Week, remember to charge smart and charge safe! Use the correct charging equipment, follow the manufacturer’s instructions, never charge devices where they can block an exit, and stop using batteries that show signs of damage, overheating, swelling, or unusual odors.

And we’re ending Fire Prevention Week with our Annual Fire Prevention Open House THIS FRIDAY! 🚒🎉

📅 Friday, October 9th | 6:00–9:00 PM
🔥 Live demonstrations begin at 7:00 PM
📍 Farmingville Fire Department — 780 Horseblock Road

Bring the whole family for live demonstrations, hands-only CPR, our fire prevention poster contest, prizes and giveaways, hot dogs and refreshments, Ralph’s Italian Ices, special visitors, membership information, and much more!

Come meet your local firefighters and EMS members, learn about fire safety, and help us finish Fire Prevention Week 2026 together!

⚡ CHARGE INTO FIRE SAFETY! ⚡
🦸 SAFE CHARGING IS A SUPERPOWER! 🦸

Working together for a safer community! ❤️🚒
