We had such a great time Saturday. Thank you so much to everyone at The Medium and to the Creative Exchange Fund for giving us the space to create community through miniature books and personal stories. And a big thank you to all of the volunteers, to Ozark Book Arts, and most importantly to everyone who took time out of their busy lives to stop by. Matchbook Memoir: Illuminating Community, an all ages drop-in event at The Medium in Springdale. 

Saturday, July 18 
10am-4pm
Everyone Welcome

Bring your family, friends and members of your communities to an open craft event. We will make miniature accordion books and fill them with personal narratives, story maps, ink, paint, collage and more. Plus, add your spark and fan the flame of community by contributing to a large accordion book art collaboration. Participants will also have the opportunity to take materials home to share Matchbook Memoirs in their own communities. All ages and skill levels are welcome and encouraged.

Great visit with local letterpress artist, Greg Mitchell of , and his wife Patti as they let us in to their home and studio for demonstrations on his two main presses. So fun! Membership in Ozark Book Arts is FREE and requires only an interest in book arts! No experience necessary. Our goal is to grow the book arts community in our region. DM me for an invite.
