Date: Thursday, June 25, 2026, 11 am – 12 pm ET.

Health-focused nonprofits face growing pressure to safeguard sensitive data while delivering essential services. In this webinar, expert attorneys will offer practical guidance on assessing organizational vulnerabilities, protecting staff from cyber threats, and building policies that support HIPAA-aligned data privacy. This webinar dives into the real-world challenges organizations faceβ€”from phishing attacks to data-sharing risks hidden in common platforms like Zoom, telehealth tools, and AI systems. This session will provide a roadmap on:
building strong privacy policies
balancing critical and unnecessary data collection
securing virtual services for vulnerable populations.
Attendees will leave with practical frameworks they can implement immediately, even with limited technical resources.

We are genuinely surprised . . . seriously surprised and, to be frank, very concerned about how few pet owners know about the spay/neuter help we offer.

Can you help?

If you're a shelter, a rescue, a human services provider, an advocacy group, a church, a community center, you have a huge following. Please share this information and let them know we're here to help.

Maybe we shouldn't admit this, but in the first week of May, we signed up only 8 pets for spay/neuter help. That used to be just one good day's total!

Calls to register pets have picked up a little. But we KNOW there are hundreds and hundreds and probably thousands of family pets in Onondaga County whose families can't afford the spay or neuter they desperately want for their cats and dogs.

We're trying to do our part. We're dropping off flyers in libraries, food pantries, and laundromats. We give flyers to dog control officers. We show up at rabies clinics so we can talk to pet owners face-to-face. We go to neighborhood events. We post and post and post some more.

It's not enough.

And our process is so easy - a phone call is all it takes to start the ball rolling. (315-729-8691) But we can't reach the folks who need some assistance without your help.

Please share our information. πŸ™ Here is how it works.

To register a pet or just to ask a few questions, please call our Registrar at 315-729-8691. She will help determine whether your pet's surgery qualifies for our financial assistance.

Each Fixing to Help pet's surgery is performed at Spay and Neuter Syracuse (SANS) on Erie Blvd., East. Included in the same-day appointment are:
πŸ’ž a brief pre-op exam
πŸ’ž a spay or neuter
πŸ’ž two vaccinations: rabies and a distemper combo
πŸ’ž a flea treatment, ear cleaning, and nail trim
πŸ’ž take-home pain medication

Nearly 60% of our pet owners are eligible for a very low copay of only $5. That's it. The rest of our our pet owners' copay is only 30% of the spay/neuter clinic's already low fee. We pay the rest.

We are passionate about helping family pets. Please help us help them. πŸ’ž
