Taylor'd Business Solutions, Inc. Why - TO inspire people to discover their natural talents and develop them into strengths SO THAT -

06/07/2022

I was in a training session today. As this page shows we run a consulting / coaching business. Our business is focused on inspiring and helping the client to achieve more than they ever dreamed possible.

The trainer said this: “Dance with who is willing to dance”.

What an interesting thought. It was eye opening for me. I wonder how many of my clients don’t realize they are trying to accomplish something and, at the same time are not willing to dance?

It’s another cold day. If you like cold that’s a good thing. If you don’t like cold, that might be a bad thing. I like to see every day I get to experience as a positive day. I Really like positive. My thought is this. Great news, I have a whole new day. It’s going to be great. Oh, and it happens to be cold, better bring a coat.

Today as every day I have been focusing on Strengths understanding. Hearing the news of the day made me think of my natural tendency to think positively. Here's a thought I collected somewhere along the way. "You can't change it, so don't wear it like a chain. Understand it. Learn from it. Turn the experience into a positive. Use it to look ahead." I think this pretty much describes how I want each of my days to be. I like moving forward positively.

Here's a profound Quote: Keep away from people who try to belittle your ambitions. Small people always do that, but the really great make you feel that you, too, can become great.
Mark Twain
I suspect that we could all use this advice from time to time.

Found this in a book about being happy.
You can't change it, so don't wear it like a chain. Understand it. Turn the experience into a positive. Use it to look ahead. This was reinforced by a quote from Dr. David Livingstone, I will go anywhere provided it be forward. Seems like good advice to me.

Quite some time ago I started this writing platform I named CS2A, which stood for Changing Scary To Awesome. I just thought is was a thought provoking title. Sometimes I would write quite regularly then I would drift off into nothingness. Those who have been invited to this page were invited for a reason. I thought it would be interesting to receive some feedback on my thoughts. (Although I have since opened it to be able to be publicly found.)
Here’s a question though that I don’t know if ever asked explicitly but has constantly been implied or at least thought of even if it was only in my own mind.
I run a coaching / consulting business. The purpose of it is to help the companies and individuals we work with to be inspired to discover their natural talents and develop them into strengths. The purpose of that was to help them to become more successful than they ever dreamed possible. So, are you more successful than you ever dreamed you could be? If not, how are you going to get there? If so, how are you going to maintain that, is it growth or continuing satisfaction? I read every day. I study every day. I want to find success in every day.

I’m often asked how I’m enjoying retirement. I always struggle with that question. This quote I saw in a book explains how I feel quite well. I simply moved away from the corporate world and now do what I enjoy in my world. Helping others to be more than they thought they could be.

RETIREMENT IS an unfortunate word. It implies
a resignation from active participation in life. Take a different viewpoint. Consider your life as an evolving, continually enriching experience.
Celebrate the wisdom born of your experiences.
Use that wisdom to constantly grow at a pace of
our choosing.

Days 260: Listened to some of the pundits today. As you know I try to have an incredibly open mind and at the same time I try to focus on the positive direction as well as the let’s get it done belief. Here is my simple thought. There is only so much time. We can break it down from years to months to weeks to days to hours to minutes to seconds and I am quite sure many other ways as well. With that in mind know this. IF you are spending time on establishing or proving that something does not work, you will have less time to figure out how to make it work. IF you really want to accomplish something you need to maximize the the time spent to make it work. Knowing why it currently does not work is an important part of identifying how to make it work. IF, however, knowing why it does not work becomes your primary focus, you are not making progress on making it work.

Day 133. Boss Diversification - have lots of bosses. If you have one, this person may not even like you. If you are independent, as in self employed, then every customer is your boss. They can only do two things, either fire you or hire you. But, they cannot tell you how to do your job, unless you let them. So, if you want to benefit the most from your employee-boss relationship. Have lots of bosses. Doing this will assure that you can focus on your creativity and not on what someone else wants.
