Ramona Hood began her career in 1991 at Roberts Express a company acquired by FedEx as a receptionist, approaching each responsibility with determination and curiosity while managing the challenges of early motherhood and professional development.

Throughout nearly three decades, she worked her way through multiple departments, including operations, safety, and sales, building trust through accountability, teamwork, and a deep understanding of the company’s mission.

Her journey reached a historic milestone on January 1, 2020, when she became President and CEO of FedEx Custom Critical, the first Black woman to lead a FedEx operating company and a lasting symbol of opportunity and growth from within.
