Adina had also conducted research work in the area of free and open Information Technologies, and has extensive knowledge and experience in the development and management of Open-Source Library Software. During her initial professional career in Romania (her country of origin), Adina had run her own SME company Contact Net for over 10 years (www.contact-net.ro), during which she conducted ITC research and development activities, software development, and provided consulting and project management services that led to developing long-term collaborations with many universities and research centers across Europe and the USA (http://www.contact-net.ro/adinariposan.php).
