I so agree. In Oahu, we only have five legal and compliant B&Bs and the city has not issued a B&B license in over 25 years. It's so much easier and fluid in Florida, so please get your LBTR (small business tax receipt) and RRDP (Resort Rental Dwelling Unit) permit for your home business from the local community development office. It’s the absolutely right thing to do, plus I would add the VRBO owner should invest in small business insurance to include their personal 🚗 for a strong liability coverage. Also a annual inspection from the fire Marshall is must on your responsible owner action list. The insurance alone could protect your small business from huge issues in the future including disastrous weather events and lose of revenue.
