The spillway is really starting to come together, and seeing the final details take shape is what makes projects like this so rewarding. Not only will it help control water flow and protect the dam, but it's also one of the last major pieces of this lake build.

There's something exciting about being this close to the finish line. After months of planning, dirt work, and plenty of long days, this project is nearly ready for its final reveal.

The vision is now a reality and we're down to the final touches. Since our last update, all of the straw has been spread across the site to help establish grass growth and protect against erosion. The only thing left on this project is finishing the spillway.

From clearing trees and stripping topsoil to building the dam core, shaping the pond, and establishing erosion control, this has been an incredible transformation to watch unfold.

✔️ Cleared trees
✔️ Stripped and saved topsoil
✔️ Built and compacted the dam core
✔️ Established erosion control across the site
✔️ Final grading and shaping completed
✔️ Straw spread and ready for grass growth

Now, we're just one final step away.

It's been a project that required patience, precision, and working around whatever Mother Nature decided to throw our way. Through the rain, snow, and muddy conditions, the crew kept pushing forward, and the finished product is almost here.
