Staff Spotlight: Gene Fernandez

Gene has worked in the Oil and Gas industry most of his career after graduating from the University of Findlay in 1977, with BS degrees in Accounting, Marketing and Business Administration. In 2008, he completed his MBA from the University of Findlay with a concentration in Finance and Organizational Development.

Gene is a Certified Internal Auditor and holds a Black belt in Lean Six Sigma. He has held various staff and management positions in Auditing, Accounting, Finance, and Marketing during his over 40 years at Marathon Petroleum Company where he started his career in 1977 and retired in 2019. In his last assignment, he developed and managed the Continuous Improvement department based in Findlay, Ohio where their team trained over 2400 different employees the tools and methods of Continuous Improvement and assisted teams complete 300 improvement projects with annual hard dollar savings of over $165 million.

He will also be hosting our Continuous Improvement Workshop on November 10th.

An activity-based learning to gain a high-level understanding of Continuous Improvement tools and techniques.

We are excited to announce that we will be reopening the Continuous Improvement (CI) Workshop in the Findlay area. Gene Fernandez, an expert in Continuous Improvement, will be hosting this event. This is something you do not want to miss!

ANNOUNCEMENT!
The highly anticipated Safe Driver Awareness Training will be Friday 22nd at ZERO charge. It is designed to demonstrate driving and public safety issues. Emphasis is placed on statistical consequences of poor and/or irresponsible driving habits and what can be done about such issues. The presentation is conducted by the Hancock County Sheriffs and Findlay Police Departments public education officers. Use the link provided to save you or your employees seats!
