Leadership/Organization Development:
Continuous Improvement: Organizations, teams and companies that engage in organizational development commit to continually improving their overall business and offerings. The OD process creates a continuous cycle of improvement whereby strategies are planned, implemented, evaluated, improved and monitored. Organizational development is a proactive approach that embraces change (internal and external) and leverages it for renewal.

· Increased Mutual Understanding: One of the key advantages to OD is increased communication, feedback and interaction within the organization. The goal of improving communication is to align all employees to shared company goals and values. Candid communication also leads to increased understanding of the need for change within the organization. Communication is open across all levels of the organization and relevant feedback is recurrently shared for improvement.

· Team + Leadership Development: Organizational development focuses on increased communication to influence employees to bring about desired changes. The need for employee development stems from constant industry and market changes. This causes an organization to regularly enhance employee skills to meet evolving market requirements. This is achieved through a program of learning, training, skills/competency enhancement and work process improvements.

· Enhancing Your Offering, Services + Efforts: A major benefit of OD is innovation, which leads to product and service enhancement. Innovation is achieved through employee development, which focuses on rewarding successes and boosting motivation and morale. In this scenario, employee engagement is high leading to increased creativity and innovation. Organizational development also increases product innovation by using competitive analysis, market research and consumer expectations and preferences

· Results -- However You Define Them: Organizational development affects the bottom line in a variety of ways. Through raised innovation and productivity, efficiency and profits are increased. Costs are also reduced by minimizing employee turnover and absenteeism. As OD aligns objectives and focuses on development, product/service quality and employee satisfaction are increased. The culture shift to one of continuous improvement gives the company a distinct advantage in the competitive marketplace. Business Development:

Customer lifetime value (LTV) answers one of the most important questions in marketing: How much is a customer actually worth?

Not just on their first purchase — but over the full relationship.

Take this idea and multiply it out. Do the math. Make sure your teams know and understand the math, too.

Then, turn it around and consider what the lifetime value of your team members truly is…based on their ability to foster a culture of trust and innovation where people want to be there and want to serve and support the strategic goals you set as they lead teams and clients.

This. Mike Leber nails it and I’m sharing here with you!
He gets all the accolades for this reshare from LinkedIn.

You can replace roles.
But you can’t replace trust.
And you can’t rehire loyalty.

That’s where most leaders fail.

They treat people like resources.
They take talent for granted.
They think anyone can be replaced.
“Another hire. Another resource.”

But trust isn’t replaceable.
And loyalty doesn’t return once it’s gone.

By the time you realize it,
your best people are already out of the door.

10 daily choices that make people stay 👇
(not walk)

1. Recognize effort, not just results
Results are visible.
Effort is invisible.
Ignored effort always leaves.

2. Defend reputations
If gossip outruns your support,
loyalty dies in silence.

3. Protect their energy
Burnout isn’t weakness-it’s neglect.
Guard energy like you guard budgets.

4. Cheer when they outgrow you
If you built their wings,
don’t fear their flight.

5. See the whole person
Not just their role.
Not just their output.
People stay where their humanity is valued.

6. Make hard talks human
Correction without compassion is just criticism.
Compassion makes truth land.

7. Give them growth oxygen
No room to grow?
They’ll find air elsewhere.

8. Invite their fingerprints on decisions
A real seat at the table
means their ideas shape the outcome.

9. Celebrate life, not just KPIs
Birthdays. Anniversaries. First wins.
These anchor belonging.

10. Ask what they need
Don’t assume. Ask.
Needs change-care is asking again.

Deadlines are forgotten.
But how you made people feel-
that’s remembered forever.

Safe. Seen. Supported.

Be the reason someone stays,
not the reason they leave.

Lead so they stay by choice,
not by contract.

♻ Repost to help build workplaces people never want to leave.

People and Culture:
For the love of all things holy, stop asking candidates how many years of experience they have.

Years measure time.

Not judgment.

Not growth.

Not whether someone can actually do the thing.

Someone can spend a decade doing the same thing wrong and have “10 years of experience.”

Someone can spend 18 months in the deep end and have more usable instinct than most.

Please ask better questions.

Do your team members feel safe and orotected by you and other leaders? Why does it matter?

The culture you create comes from the top and it is either a culture built on fear…or, it’s built on trust.

Bottomline: A culture where people feel protected and safe will take more risks and/or have greater innovative thinking.

A culture of fear has considerable begative results. It produces lower creativity and the people skirt issues or avoid those who create problems rather than trying to solve issues.

We should follow Luther’s challenge to make decisions based on character—not skin color.
