Carin Leon at Sphere Las Vegas. That’s a moment. 🤠🎶

Tonight, he begins his seven-show run in Las Vegas, becoming the first Latino artist to headline the venue.

And yes, the production will be big. But we’re also here for the fans: the sombreros, the boots, the belt buckles, the songs everyone knows by heart, and the kind of joy that fills a room before the first note even plays.

Música mexicana on one of the biggest stages in the country.

That’s pretty cool to see. 🇲🇽✨

For decades, Gloria Steinem used her voice, writing, and organizing to advocate for women’s equality and help expand what women could imagine, ask for, and build.
Today, we honor her life and the generations of women whose work continues to move us forward.

The writer and activist Gloria Steinem died Wednesday, at 92. With her writing, her community organizing, and her partnerships, Steinem remained at the forefront of the feminist movement for more than 60 years. In 2015, Jane Kramer profiled Steinem for The New Yorker. “I’m an entrepreneur of social change,” Steinem told Kramer. “I raise money. I talk. I write. I tell stories. I want to do justice to the women I meet.” Revisit the story: https://newyorkermag.visitlink.me/mpvOmn

Do you know someone whose work deserves to be recognized? 💙

The Maryland Legislative Latino Caucus is accepting nominations for the 2026 Hispanic Heritage Month Awards, honoring individuals and organizations making a positive impact in Latino and immigrant communities across Maryland.

So much of this work happens quietly, consistently, and often without enough recognition. This is a meaningful opportunity to lift up leaders, advocates, organizations, entrepreneurs, and community members who are making a difference.

Nominations are open until Saturday, September 12 at 11:59 p.m.

Monday Inspiration: Venezuelan artist Ella Bric. 🇻🇪🎺

This Latino USA conversation and performance is a beautiful look at music, identity, discipline, and creative growth.

Ella Bric’s path began in Venezuela through El Sistema and later took her to New York, the Latin GRAMMYs, and stages with artists like KaRoL G. Along the way, her Venezuelan background, jazz training, and Latin music traditions have continued to shape her work.

For anyone who needs a little inspiration to start the week, this is worth your time.

Venezuelan musician and composer Ella Bric made history as the first woman to win producer of the year at the...

A great read from Tecolote on Latina women shaping lowrider culture in the Bay Area.
The piece highlights women who have restored, customized, driven, and preserved classic cars while challenging the assumption that lowriding has always belonged mostly to men. 🚗
What stands out is the pride of ownership: women behind the wheel, women leading car clubs, women passing the tradition on to their daughters, and women bringing lowriding into spaces like the de Young Museum.
It’s a reminder that culture is not only preserved in formal spaces. 🩷

Translation and cultural adaptation are not the same thing, and the difference matters.

Translation focuses on accurately transferring a message from one language to another. Cultural adaptation, or what we call transcreation, goes further by considering tone, context, references, and the way a message will be understood by its audience.

At COOL, we do both. Because a message can be technically accurate and still miss the mark if it doesn’t connect with the people you’re trying to reach.

The right words matter. So does the way they are received.
