Talk about an unexpected traffic delay.

A crash involving a truck hauling a trailer carrying 18 sheep temporarily brought traffic to a crawl Thursday afternoon on I-465 east of the Keystone Avenue exit in Indianapolis after the animals escaped onto the interstate.

According to Meteorologist Ryan Morse, the sheep were loose following the crash, but no people were injured.

Officials were able to contain all of the sheep at the scene, bringing the unusual incident to an end.

While the crash created a memorable sight for drivers, authorities say everyone involved was safe, including the flock.
