💻 STEM Next and Apple created TECH Quest, three free hands-on lessons for grades 5-8 in after-school and summer programs. Each one starts with a real community or global problem, and students work out which technology could help solve it.

No specialized equipment needed, which makes it easy to run in whatever space you have. It could also be a good fit for the kids who tune out when a tech lesson opens with how something works.

Communication tip #1: give parents one clear place to look for information, not five.

Email works for newsletters and regular updates. Text works for anything urgent, like a last-minute weather cancellation. When those two channels are consistent, parents stop guessing where to check and start trusting the flow of information.

🤖 AI is showing up in classrooms and after-school programs, but access to solid AI education still skews toward programs with the budget for it.
