In a site in southeastern Wisconsin, these samples (pictured) were pulled from the ground at approximately 90 ft (bgs). Based on the geologic background of the area, it is determined that these sediments, along with overlying sands and gravels, compose a glacial till plain.
The last time that area was covered by glaciers was more than 10,000 years ago!
