Being in the service industry around Flagstaff means you've got to be able to do a little bit of everything.👇

A few months ago we were in Munds Park tearing down the old single-wide trailer that sat on this property. Now we're back helping the same homeowner get ready for the next chapter, building his dream shop.🙌

This time around, we were relocating boulders, rebuilding sections of the rock border, touching up the decorative gravel, and getting everything cleaned up and dialed in.✅️

I'm the first to admit I'm not going to claim I'm the best landscaper in the world, but I take pride in treating every property like it's my own. My subcontractors absolutely knocked it out of the park stacking these boulders. They took their time, paid attention to the details, and it shows.👏

The homeowner was excited. The neighbors walking by stopped to compliment the work. That's the kind of feedback that reminds you why quality matters.🔥

One day we're demolishing a trailer. The next we're building a driveway. After that it might be junk removal, excavation, grading, or pine needle cleanup. Whatever the job is, the goal stays the same:

Billboard on wheels... complete. 👌

I've been needing to pull the trigger on getting my truck wrapped for a long time. Honestly, the only thing that kept holding me back was the amount of idiots on the road... 😂

I was originally talking with a wrap company down in Phoenix, but the communication just wasn't there. The project never went anywhere, and after a while I decided they just weren't the kind of people I wanted to do business with.

S*** happens for a reason 🔊

So Small world... my neighbor Jason Stinett at Unique Printz ended up being exactly who I was looking for. Man of his word, good communication, and did everything he said he was going to do, On Time, of course 🤝

He absolutely knocked this project out of the park. From the full truck wrap to the perforated rear window, the quality, attention to detail, and communication were solid from start to finish. 💯

One thing I believe in is supporting the people who support you. What goes around comes around, and I'd rather keep supporting local businesses whenever I can!

Happy 250th Birthday America! 🇺🇸

Today marks 250 years of freedom and opportunity. 🫡

I'm grateful to live in a country where hard work still creates opportunity, and where I was able to build Flag Hauling from the ground up. 🤝

Thank you to everyone who's supported me and my business over the years. I truly appreciate every one of you. 🙌

Looks like both my truck and I got tatted up today. 😂

The truck finally got wrapped...

But this post isn't really about the truck!

It's about everything it took to get here. 👇

Before I started this business, I was overweight, drinking way too much, making poor financial decisions, carrying credit card debt, and wasting opportunities that were right in front of me. I wasn't a bad person—I just wasn't the man I was capable of becoming.👀

Back in late 2020, Flag Hauling started as a side hustle while I was still working full-time. I'd work four 10-hour shifts, get off work, and head straight to side jobs. Then I'd spend my three-day weekends working too. Most weeks turned into seven-day work weeks. There really is no clocking out when you're trying to build something from nothing.🫡

As the business grew, I realized I couldn't keep living the way I was. I needed a clear mind to make good decisions, answer customers' questions, and be the business owner people deserved. Putting alcohol behind me was one of the best decisions I've ever made, and it changed far more than just my business.🙌

What people see today is a wrapped truck, equipment, trailers, and a business that's grown. What they don't see are the years behind it—the sleepless nights, the uncertainty, waking up exhausted from sleep apnea and still going to work, doing jobs by myself because I couldn't afford help, the expensive lessons, and the opportunities I missed because of alcohol.👍

Looking back, I don't regret the lessons. Some were painful, some were expensive, but every one of them helped shape the person I am today.💯

I still make mistakes. I still have bad days. I still question myself. But I keep showing up. Over time, those small decisions have compounded into something I'm proud of! 🤔

This truck wrap isn't a finish line. It's a reminder of where I started, the lessons I learned, and proof that showing up day after day eventually adds up.✔️

Thank you to every customer, referral partner, friend, family member, and supporter who has been part of this journey over the last five and a half years. I truly appreciate every one of you.🙏

It's funny how the little things can put a smile on your face! 😎

This morning I headed to Safeway to grab some Mucinex because I'm fighting whatever bug is making its way around Flagstaff and have pretty much lost my voice.👀

I fired up the old 2005 5.9 Cummins, rolled the windows down, listened to that exhaust and turbo whistle, ran through the gears, and couldn't stop smiling from ear to ear. Plus, it was good to get the cobwebs out of the old girl since it's been a minute shes been on the road! 🇺🇲

Lately I've been so busy with work that I forget to slow down and appreciate the things that matter.

Sometimes you've got to sit on the mountaintop for a minute and take inventory. Look at what you're doing right, what you're doing wrong, and ask yourself if you're still being grateful for the life you've built.🙌

• I've got a roof over my head
• Food on the table
• Work us steady
• Good people around me
• A team that's still working
.. And a paid-off truck that still makes me grin every time I drive it.🤝

It's easy to focus on what we don't have. It's a lot harder to appreciate what we do have.

The older I get, the more I realize happiness isn't always found in the big moments.👏

Sometimes it's just a diesel engine, a manual transmission, the windows down, and a reminder to be grateful for another day.👌

Be thankful you woke up this morning. Not everybody got that opportunity.👍

A lot of people here in Flagstaff know me as “the trash guy.” 🤔

I’ve been doing junk removal for almost 5 and a half years now, going on 6 years this November. 🤝

But over the years, Flag Hauling LLC has grown into a whole lot more than just hauling stuff away.

We clean up properties and help bring them back to life.

And we always try to go the extra mile whenever we can.

One thing I’ve learned is that if you slow down and really pay attention on a job site, there’s usually more ways you can help people than just the original project.👏

That’s the part of this work I’ve grown to love the most!🤙

'Before the BBQ's, Beers, Lake days, and Long weekend social media posts, just remember what Memorial Day is actually about'

I’ll be honest, for a lot of years Memorial Day weekend was mostly about getting together with friends and family, firing up the grill, drinking some beers, heading out to the woods, and having a good time. I never really stopped to think about what the day truly meant until these past couple of years.

Today is for the men and women who never made it home.

The freedom we have to work, build businesses, spend time with family, hit the trails, hunt, laugh, struggle, grow, and live our lives on our own soil came at the ultimate cost for somebody else.

It’s easy to take everyday life for granted until you really stop and think about it.

I’m grateful for the people who sacrificed everything so we could live the lives we do today!

Take a moment today to remember what this day is really about. 🇺🇲
