Take a look at another flag emergence trial we ran in Wenona, IL. This trial was planted 05/14/2026 at a population of 36,000 at 30 in row width. Our last emergence test was taking a look at soybeans while this one is looking at corn products. When looking at the treated hybrids compared to the untreated hybrids they shot out of the ground at a much faster rate.

Today we completed another round of corn root digs at our Wenona location seeing some huge differences between untreated and planter box treatments!

We also did our first round of soybean root digs in Flanagan taking a looking at what nodulation is occurring!

Be on the lookout for both of their root digs sets as they put together their images.

If your looking for a good laugh the last picture is Brandons photo evidence of him loosing the battle with the mud bucket. We let our roots soak as we dig other treatments out in the field and lets just say he got a good mud bath this afternoon.

Plots are planted and now it’s time to till and get plot signs ready. Our interns have been hard at work cleaning signs, organizing/cleaning posts, while also removing stickers from last year.

The planting of the plot is half the battle now it’s time to maintain it and give it a polished look!
