Me: Oh, is that for your daughter?
Client: No, Riley is my Golden retriever.
Me: 😑
BUT - an animal maintained for medical reasons.....like seeing-eye dog or a handicapped assistant service animal is tax deductible! If you have an “emotional support animal”, you must have a ESA letter from a licensed mental health professional.
